Adopting a panoramic viewpoint, this book offers an introduction to four different flavors of representation theory: representations of algebras, groups, Lie algebras, and Hopf algebras. A separate part of the book is devoted to each of these areas and they are all treated in sufficient depth to enable and hopefully entice the reader to pursue research in representation theory. The prerequisites are basically linear algebra and some rigorous calculus-everything else, including the concepts of differential manifolds, topology, tensor algebra and representation theory, are developed as needed in the book. It's very well written with a lot of strong exercises-to me,it's the best book for self study on the subject.

A very striking feature of that book is that it doesn't use any kind of Module theory , that is, the theory semisimple modules, Artin This is the book by Dieter Lust and Stefan Theisen, which I included partly for sentimental reasons because it is, in fact, the book from which I learned string theory. But it’s also a great book. Among its advantages is that it has good, straightforward prose descriptions of what is going on.

As a result, the author challenges the presumption that political theory is about the"'human question". He seeks to identify the political ideology that is best able to further the interests of animals.

I had two books in hand, firstly ''Representation theory of finite groups, An introductory Approach'' by Benjamin Steinberg, and secondly Serre's ''Linear Representations of Finite Groups.'' I definitely recommend Serre's book (where you should read the first part only, the second and third parts are more advanced).
